Email and Fraud Alert Reminder

We have recently noticed an increase in "phishing" scams and want to alert our customers on how to avoid becoming a victim of such. It's pronounced "fishing," and that's exactly what these thieves are doing: "fishing" for your personal financial information. What they want are account numbers, debit and credit card numbers, Internet banking user codes, passwords, Social Security numbers, and other confidential information that they can use to loot your checking account or run up bills on your debit and credit cards.

First National Bank will never ask for your private information, card numbers, pin numbers or passwords – EVER!

First National Bank will never send emails containing attachments, links to websites or marketing surveys, and we will never require customers to ‘authenticate their accounts’ by sending personal information to us via email, via websites or via automated voice prompt systems.

Please call our Fraud Hotline at 877-209-1407 immediately ONLY if you are a First National Bank account holder AND have responded to a fraudulent email or any other unsolicited request for personal information, and you feel that your account may be compromised. If you have provided personal information regarding an account at a different financial institution, please contact that institution directly.

Any unsolicited request for account information you receive through emails or any other solicitation is to be considered fraudulent and should be deleted immediately.
