First National Bank's Trust Department provides a full range of investment services ranging from simple keeping of records to full portfolio management. We work with clients to understand their needs and financial objectives and we assist them in developing comprehensive plans to meet their needs and reach their objectives. Furthermore, our Trust Department will implement and monitor those plans in a timely and professional manner.

Trust Services – Officers and administrators at First National Bank hold very dear their responsibilities as trustees. These responsibilities include holding trust property for safekeeping, investing trust assets prudently, making distributions from the trust to the beneficiaries according to client wishes, and providing accurate, complete records for reporting and accountability purposes. These tasks are done in a competent, professional manner worthy of the trust placed in First National Bank's Trust Department by our clients

Estate Planning & Administration – A primary function of our trust professionals is assisting our clients in planning for the transfers of their estate. Estate taxes can be as high a 46%; with proper planning, these taxes can be minimized. We work with our clients and their other professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, etc.) to ensure the maximum estate transfer to the beneficiaries of the client's choosing. First National Bank's Trust Department can also act as executor of an estate; we ensure our client's wishes are carried out with a minimum of disruption to the remaining family members.

Unfortunately, actions by well-meaning family members may cause significant family conflicts at the death of a loved one. As independent professionals, we can attend to the technical requirements of estate administration and frequently avoid ill feelings that might be inadvertently generated by family members.

Custodial/Guardianship Services – Trust Department personnel are honored to assist those individuals for whom the court has deemed necessary a guardianship account. As Guardian-of-the-Estate we provide financial management, bill paying, record keeping, and safekeeping services as well as a wide variety of other services as individual needs arise. The officers and administrators of the Trust Department work with the court, counsel, and Guardian-of-the-Person to help ensure that the financial needs of the child/incapacitated adult are fully addressed. In doing so, we strive to provide the family and Guardian-of-the-Person peace of mind and confidence in knowing that the financial affairs of their loved ones are in capable hands.

Agency Services – First National Bank personnel provide investment assistance to our clients. We provide recommendations in accordance with the goals and circumstances of the individual client; the client makes the final investment decision. Again, First National Bank provides all safekeeping and record keeping services. Also included in these accounts are full bill paying and personal financial management if the client so desires.

Full Asset and Investment Management Services – First National Bank assumes responsibility for buying, selling, record keeping, and all asset management functions (dividend and interest collection, etc.) for the client's portfolio. The investment and management of the client's finances is done according to a plan developed jointly by the client and trust department personnel. This plan is monitored and re-evaluated as necessary to ensure continuing compliance with client wishes and circumstances.

Bill Paying – First National Bank can relieve our clients of the tedium of routine financial management. We will handle all the details associated with collecting income and paying all bills. Of course, detailed accounting records of all transactions are provided for the client's review.

Employee Benefits – First National Bank's Trust Department offers all services necessary to establish and maintain employee benefit plans. We offer Internal Revenue Service qualified retirement plans (both defined benefit and defined contribution) and IRA related services. Employers wishing to establish benefit plans may utilize our IRS approved documents. The investment alternatives for these plans include a complete spectrum of investments to meet the needs of all participants (regardless of their age or retirement objective).

Self-Directed IRAs – First National Bank's Trust Department provides the ability to establish and manage self-directed IRAs. Investment advice is provided according to the client's needs and wishes. A full range of investment alternatives are available.
